iFilm London Productions in association with BritishBoxers presents an exclusive interview with David Haye’s trainer Adam Booth.
iFilm London’s Kugan Cassius caught up with Adam at the London press conference for the world heavyweight showdown with David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko on 2nd July 2011, in Germany.
Haye has certainly got on Klitschko’s nerves in the build up to this fight, which seems to have gone on for ever! and Booth insists that his charge is argumentative and has an answer for everything and will have one when the pair clash this summer.
“He’s an argumentative son of a …..! – He does have answers for everything and it probably started when he was at school, when he always had answers for not doing his homework.” said Booth about Haye.
“But he has answers in a boxing ring as well and that is really where its gonna count, anything Wladimir does or can do, David has the ability to have an answer for it.
“I think David is wrong for Wladimir as a person, mentally, physically and emotionally. Boxing’s about style’s and I do think Davids style and mentality is wrong for him, but there just words at the moment and the next eight weeks we’ve got to prepare, so that David can step in there July 2, and do something spectacular and prove that he’s wrong for him.”
With the fight being held in Germany, at the demands of Klitschko who is based there, Booth told Kugan that he would have liked the fight to be staged in the UK and would have enjoyed the buzz build up on home soil.
“Were involved in something that is bigger than you could have ever dreamed of, but yeah there is disappointment because, for this to be in England and to have that buzz in the week leading up and to be promoting it in the UK and all the English fans to be there, yeah that would have been amazing, but it was never gonna happen from day one from their side.” added Booth.
