Gavin Rees and Derry Mathews met at the Tredegar House in Newport on Monday to publicise their up-coming fight at the press conference staged by Matchroom Sport.

European lightweight champion Rees will make the first defence of his belt against Mathews from Liverpool, at the Newport Leisure Centre on Saturday night in Wales, 1st October.
Welshman Rees the former WBA light-welterweight champion of the world, is looking to get another shot at a world title at lightweight.
But 31 year-old Rees, will have to deal with English champion and former World Boxing Union featherweight belt holder Mathews, who himself is confident and prepared for this challenge after revitalising his career after retiring in 2009.
