Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch  fights in his hometown for the first time since beating Andre Dirrell in a WBC World title defence in October 2009. Froch has been on the road since that night in some hard slogs against the best super-middleweights in the world.
Froch, 34, the former two time WBC belt holder, and the man known to go in with anyone in the game, goes for his third world title challenge when he takes on the unbeaten IBF world champion Lucian Bute at the Nottingham Arena in his home City on May 26.
Froch says it is an honour and privilege to be fighting in front of his fans and to be back in Nottingham and promises to send them home happy by taking the title from Bute.
Andy Gray of BoxingPortraits.com caught up with Carl for www.britishboxers.co.uk ‘Inside Boxing’ series, to speak to him about his preparations, fighting in Nottingham again, why he has no tattoos? and more…
The interview took place at the English Institute of Sport, where Carl is trained by Great Britain amateur coach and former professional fighter Robert McCracken.
