Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn is still confident that he can make Anthony Joshua versus Wlad Klitschko in 2017, but is now looking for an opponent for Joshua’s mooted December 10 date at the Manchester Arena as the former Champion picked up an injury in training.
IBF holder Joshua (17-0, 17 KOs) is still pencilled in to meet the ever popular TBA yet Hearn told City A.M. that a fight against Klitschko is very much a work in progress.
“There will be an official announcement on Joshua v Klitschko coming very soon, but for now we’re seeking a new foe for 10 December and building a huge card for Manchester,” he said.
