Greenrigg’s Kieran Smith (7-0, 4KO’s) got the opportunity to impress viewers watching on Sky television and left an indelible mark.
The relaxed 23 year old southpaw, who weighed 156lbs, sauntered out of his corner and floored London’s Robert Asagba (4-1) with his fifth punch of the fight. Legs got tangled and a right hand behind the ear flattened Asagba, 155 1/4lbs. The Londoner got up but was on shaky legs. The official time was 0.18 of the very first round.
