Donaster’s Dave Allen had a painful and frustrating night as he again took on Jamaican Lenroy Thomas for his Commonwealth heavyweight title on the undercard of Kell Brook vs Sergey Rabchenko at the Sheffield Arena on Saturday. After a accidental clash of heads in the opening round, Allen suffered a bad cut over his right eye. Such was the seriousness of it, referee Michael Alexander called the fight off after advice from the ringside doctor. The fight was deemed a technical draw.
