The old cliche that ‘styles make fights’ couldn’t be more fitting for the clash between Mark Heffron and Denzel Bentley, as the two explosive punchers collide on September 12.
The fight was one of many announced by Frank Warren for his schedule in the coming months, with many fans and pundits singling it out as the most exciting battle to be confirmed.
Speaking to BBTV, Heffron oozed confidence ahead of the bout: “This is a big step up for Denzel, I think it’s a step too far for him and I think the experience in this fight is going to play a big factor.
He added: “You can’t get in there and expect to bang everyone out, I have had to slow it down a bit and learn to take my time. My last fight I stopped him in a round, to make a bit of statement.”
He went onto praise the impact Mick and Dave Jennings have had on his career: “I just needed a fresh change and they’re really experienced guys, they know exactly what they’re doing. I have been there six or seven weeks now and I have picked up so much so soon and I already feel like a better fight, you will see on fight night.”
