When MTK Global unveiled its Summer schedule of shows, the third and final card which takes place on Wednesday night was the one most touted as unmissable by many fight fans.
Headlined by the highly-anticipated British and Commonwealth super-lightweight title fight between Akeem Ennis Brown and Philip Bowes, the card features a plethora of enticing 50/50 matchups.
In what is set to be a deeply intriguing collision of styles, the high stakes battle marks a significant opportunity for one to propel themselves to the next level.
Previously speaking to BBTV, Ennis Brown urged fans not to miss the battle, stating: “It’s going to be an action-packed fight and when I say action-packed – this has been months and months of built-up tension between the two fighters and we are ready to meet again.
“We both want to make history, he wants to be the oldest fighter to win the British title and I want to be the first fighter from my city to win the British title. You are going to see real skill at the highest level.”
Fireworks are guaranteed from the chief support as Unbeaten sensation Dan Azeez defends his English light-heavyweight title against Andre Sterling, in a clash of two explosive punchers.
Padraig McCrory and Mickey Ellison, while rising star Elliot Whale also returns in his hardest bout to date against Corey McCulloch.
As well as this, the talented Harlem Eubank also faces off against southpaw Martin McDonagh in another exciting battle of two prospects.
When the show was announced, MTK Global Chief Strategy Officer Paul Gibson commented: “There are a lot of unique challenges to pulling a card together in the current climate but these fifteen matches guarantee some cracking fights.
“The remit was to make as many quality 50-50s as possible and the fact we’ve been restricted to matching domestically only adds to the intrigue of the contests. It’ll be action from the first bell to last.”
