In spite of a plethora of postponements, Saturday’s Frank Warren card from Stratford will still go-ahead live on BT Sport, with the featured attraction being middleweight contender Liam Williams (22-2-1) taking on his mandatory Andrew Robinson (24-4-1) for the British title.

Williams is the WBO mandatory, however, due to the pandemic, the WBO has delayed the purse bid for his shot against champion Demetrius Andrade (29-0). Andrade vs Williams will now most likely take place in the first half of 2021 with both taking ‘stay busy’ fights in the interim.

Williams picked up his British title with a 10th round stoppage of Mark Heffron (21-0) and since

then has defended it against Joe Mullender (11-2). He is coming off the back of 6 wins all by knockout; since his two defeats to Liam Smith. ‘The Machine’ has impressed since then becoming the first man to stop tough Frenchman Karim Achour (27-5-3) and Alantez Fox (26-1-1) in a world title eliminator.

In the co-main, heavyweight Nathan Gorman (16-1) battles Richard Lartey (14-2), in a clash that has led to much intrigue from fight fans.

Lartey ferociously battled Daniel Dubois in his last outing, providing him with his toughest test to date after a famous slugfest which saw both fighters meet in the middle of the ring and let their hands go. Warren is hoping the Ghanian can provide a similarly difficult challenge to Gorman who was also stopped by Dubois in an underwhelming performance.

Young Super Middleweight Prospect Hutchinson (12-0) returns to the ring against Jose Miguel Fandino, whilst unbeaten prospects Ryan Garner (9-0), Mark Chamberlain (6-0) and Muheeb Fazeldin also compete in bouts on the card.
