Saturday evening in Gibraltar marks the start of the professional journey for Campbell Hatton and his trainer and uncle Matthew is clear in his belief that the fans will like what they see when the Mancunian takes to the ring.
‘The Hurricane’ Hatton will have a significant platform to showcase his skills on, with the fight taking place on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s huge rematch with Alexander Povetkin.
Hatton’s journey has already captured the imagination of the people of Manchester, with fans eagerly-awaiting his first pro fight in the region.
His coach Matthew Hatton emphasised his belief: “I think fans are going to like what they see with Campbell. It has all happened really quickly for him and he seems to have gone from a boy to a man, really quickly.
“It’s a complete transformation from the fighter he was, he was always going to be better suited to the pro game, but he has really taken to it really well, even better than I thought. And, most importantly, his boxing has really improved.”
He added that the atmosphere within the team has been superb, with all the preparation done and Campbell fully prepared for his debut, they have just been talking boxing.
“He has the right people around him, he has a good team around him and boxing always comes first, that’s the way it is.”
