Kingswinford welterweight Danny Ball ran out a comfortable winner on Friday night with a sixth-round stoppage of Petar Aleksandrov in Dudley.
Ball, who was mandated to fight Anthony Tomlinson for the vacant English title at 147lbs last month, appeared for the second time in 2022 with a late halting of the Bulgarian. Aleksandrov showed heart, climbing off the canvas in both the second and fourth rounds on the evening, but could not prevent Ball getting the better of him with under fifty seconds remaining in the sixth.
Light-heavyweight Brandon Jones secured his sixth victory in as many outings with a fourth-round win over Patryk Polasik. Jones bagged his third win inside the distance with a final-round stoppage of the Poland man.
Middleweight Ashley Pettigrew moved to 2-0-0 as a professional with a whitewash of Paul Cummings over four rounds, while Liam Gould marked a successful professional debut as he comfortably outpointed MJ Hall in their four-round super-welterweight contest.
