Newly-crowned undisputed super-middleweight champion Savannah Marshall has reportedly been ordered to defend her WBC crown against Shadasia Green next, according to Dan Rafael.

Both parties have until September 1st to agree a deal before a purse bid will be called.

Marshall captured all four major belts at 168lbs with a majority-decision victory over Franchon Crews-Dezurn in Manchester at the beginning of the month to become a two-weight world champion.

Attention turned to a potential rematch with Claressa Shields following their initial encounter in October, with Shields agreeing to step up to 168lbs second time around.

New Jersey’s Green (12-0, 11KOs) responded via social media however, reminding Marshall of her mandatory obligations.

“They wanna keep me out so bad ! Savannah Marshall vs Shadasia Green”, tweeted the American before finishing the post with a fire emoji.

Green is promoted by Most Valuable Promotions and Jake Paul, with the latter also taking to Twitter to ensure his fighter gets the next shot at the WBC super-middleweight title.

“Don’t know who this promoter on @SkySportsBoxing is but, but @wbcmoro has guaranteed that Shadasia Green is next for Savannah Marshall”, wrote Paul.

“Claressa Shields will have to wait and fight the winner and that will be the mega fight she deserves.”

Green is scheduled to fight on August 5th before facing Marshall later in the year.
