Australian featherweight Skye Nicolson (7-0) is set for her third contest of 2023 as she takes on Argentina’s Sabrina Maribel Perez (18-1-1, 2KOs) in Mexico on September 15th.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medalist has been added to the undercard of Angel Fierro versus Brayan Zamarripa Rodriguez at the Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutierrez Moreno in Tijuana.
Nicolson has hardly put a foot wrong since turning professional in March 2022, comfortably winning all seven of her fights on points.
Concerns have however been expressed about the power of the Australian but Nicolson insists she possesses the technical ability to compete at the highest level.
The main event sees two Mexico lightweights go head-to-head as Angel Fierro (21-1-2, 17KOs) and Brayan Zamarripa Rodriguez (13-1, 4KOs) face-off over ten rounds.
Featherweight world title challenger Erika Cruz (15-2, 3KOs) also returns after her loss to undisputed champion Amanda Serrano in February.
The 33 year old faces Brooklyn’s Melissa Oddessa Parker (6-1, 2KOs) over ten rounds.
