WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly met with the media today ahead of his sixth and riskiest title defence against the unbeaten Russian KO artist Sergey Kovalev.
Cleverly and his father and trainer Vince worked out at Planet Fitness in Aberbargoed as they countdown the last few day towards the big fight at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena.
Cleverly is aware of the threat Kovalev posses to his future reign and ambition and is prepared accordingly; “I’ve got to be on my toes for this fight” said the champion.
“I may have to go through some tricky periods and weather the storm at times, but I’ll get through it and Ill break this guy up.”
