After a successful amateur career at Jimmy Egan’s Boxing club in his home town of Wythenshawe Manchester. The exciting prospect Kofi Yates has his first professional fight (opponent TBC) on March 1st at the Civic Forum just a stone throw from his house.
Kofi will be campaigning at lightweight and hopes to make a big impact in the division these coming years. We did a short profile video on Kofi about his boxing career to date, his likes and dislikes about the fight game, what he does when he isnt boxing; plus we find out who his favourite boxer of all time is and who his current favourite British boxer is and more.
After having all his amateur contest’s and learning to box under Steve and Sean Egan, Kofi has now joined Anthony ‘Arnie’ Farnell as he embarks on the professional circuit.
We will follow Kofi’s career and bring you future updates, interviews and reports as he makes his way in the paid ranks.Kofi Yates is certainly one to keep an eye on, a crowd pleaser, he always comes to fight and will be involved in some great scaps along the way as he climbs the British boxing rankings.
