Boxing trainer and Promoter Pat Barrett a former British and European champion, has added a secret weapon to the gym to help his boxers increase their fitness and strength.

Barrett met former Marine Justin Coup at his local weights gym and was put through a circuit by Justin and felt the effects, so much so he asked the former forces man, if he would be interested in working with the boxers he trains?

The results are very noticeable and the boxers, after a few hard breaking in sessions, have took to Justin and his methods and all are reaping the rewards.

We caught up with Pat and Justin at the Collyhurst and Moston Boxing Club in Manchester to find out more…

Black Flash promotions will once again be aiming to bring its trademark razzmatazz to small hall promotion with its next outing, another night of professional boxing action which will be taking place on Saturday 28th March 2015 at the Middleton Arena.

The evening will see the return of the town’s brightest young talent, with local favourites Matthew Ryan, Sean Ben Mulligan and Zelfa “Brown Flash” Barrett all set to feature in a five fight extravaganza.

The Arena will also provide the setting for the professional debut of Chris “Fat Boy” Monaghan in a light Middleweight contest. Monaghan will undoubtedly be raring to go following a disappointment prior to the previous Black Flash Promotions show when “Fat Boy” encountered complications in regards to his boxing licence, meaning that his debut was delayed to this month.

Also featuring on the show will be ‘Billy the Kid’ Bilal Rehman, a light-welterweight prospect from the Northside Boxing Club in Manchester.

The show promises intriguing viewing, with previous dates not failing to please. There has been something to cater for every pugilistic taste – patient boxing, exciting stoppages and even boxer Mick Mills performing some amazing acrobatics! Tune in to witness what is sure to be another exciting night for Black Flash Promotions and the British Boxers team.
