There rivalry goes back six years to 2009, when in Joshua’s 3rd fight, he took on Whyte who was making his amateur boxing debut. Both were mere novices that night and unrecognisable from the professionals they are today. Joshua was dropped in the second round of that fight by the aggressor Whyte who caught him flush with a left hook, right hand combination and went on to take a unanimous decision.

Will this have any bearing on a fight now? Does Whyte have the mental edge after already beating Joshua? The answers will be revealed next Saturday!

If you cant wait until then, then you can watch the full amateur fight between Joshua fight above.
