Liverpool’s unbeaten WBO world super-welterweight champion Liam Smith  (23-0-1, 13 KOs) goes in against one of the best fighters in boxing, Mexican Saul ‘Cannel’ Alvarez (47-1-1, 33 KOs) on September 17th in Dallas in one of the most interesting match-ups for a British world champion this year.

Many are writing off Smith’s chances in the fight, but ‘Beefy’ is coming to America to win and he means business. Canelo, 26, is going to have to nail the tough determined Smith to the canvas if he is going to defeat him. British boxing can be confident Smith, 28, will be representing full throttle come fight night and don’t be surprised if he shocks the world.

If Canelo hasn’t seen much of Smith in action and was starting to believe the odds makers, then this highlight video (above) of some of the Scouser’s recent wins against John Thompson, Jimmy Kelly, Predrag Radosevic and Mark Thompson in the lead up to this fight, then watching this, may make him think twice.

This will be a great fight.
