David Brophy (17-1-1, 2KO) got back in the winners column with a convincing win over Penhill’s Kelvin Young (18-7-2). Brophy, 172 1/2lbs and from Caldercruix, was stopped by George Groves in April but showed no ill effects and was quickly into his rhythm.

He found the mark with some hurtful body shots in the opener before picture perfect left uppercut had Young out on his feet at 2.01 of the second.

Trophy will be hopeful of pressing on and making waves in the domestic super middleweight division.
