Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions announced on Monday that Zach Parker‘s clash with Demetrius Andrade, which was slated to take place at the home of Parker’s beloved Derby County on May 21st, has been postponed due to a shoulder injury to the American Andrade.
The WBO’s interim super-middleweight title was on the line, the winner poised to earn a shot at the strap currently held by Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez at 168lbs. In a statement, Queensberry stated the event would be postponed “until the extent of the injury is fully established”, and that a further update will be released in the coming days surrounding the rearrangement of the fight taking place.
