IBF bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges will make the first defence of her world title against fellow Aussie Shannon O’Connell at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on December 10.
The bout is the first to be added to the undercard of Josh Warrington‘s featherweight title clash versus Mexico’s Luis Alberto Lopez. Eddie Hearn‘s Matchroom Boxing secured promotional rights to the contest with a successful purse bid victory last month.
Bridges already has positive memories of the city following her world triumph at the same venue in March where she successfully outpointed former titleholder Maria Cecilia Roman.
