Frank Warren‘s Queensberry Promotions emerged victorious for a second time with a winning purse bid on Thursday to promote a WBO interim title fight between super-middleweights Zach Parker and Demetrius Andrade.

The pair were originally set to face-off in May at Derby’s Pride Park, the home of Parker’s beloved Derby County Football Club. The bout was however postponed three weeks before following an injury sustained to the American in training, with the prospect of a future fight cast in doubt.

Fast-forward to last month and the contest was ordered again by the WBO, with the purse bid taking place on Thursday. Queensberry, who were the sole bidders for the fight, placed a winning bid of $305,000 and measurements will now take place to stage the fight again in the near future.

Parker is looking to land his first world title as a professional whereas Andrade has previously held belts at both super-welterweight and middleweight.
