Queensberry Promotions announced a new show at the Telford International Centre which will feature highlight names such as David Avanesyan, Anthony Yarde and Liam Davies.
The card, which will take place on November 19th live on BT Sport, will be topped by the European welterweight champion Avanesyan who takes on Spain’s undefeated Jon Miguez. The latter boasts eight knockout wins in seventeen victories and has never fought outside his native Spain. Avanesyan meanwhile last appeared in a first-round stoppage win over Oskari Metz in March.
Local man Liam Davies is also set to return to his hometown of Telford to the same venue that saw him overcome Marc Leach four months ago. The twenty-six-year-old Davies became the British super-bantamweight champion in the process, and now takes on Romania’s Ionut Baluta for the vacant European championship at 122lbs. Baluta unanimously outpointed Brad Foster at York Hall in May and will hope to land another British scalp on November 19th.
World light-heavyweight contender Anthony Yarde will also run out in the Midlands ahead of a mega fight with 175lb king Artur Beterbiev in 2023. Yarde exacted revenge on Lyndon Arthur in their rematch in December of 2021 and will return to a professional ring for the first time in eleven months in Telford. No opponent has been confirmed at the time of writing.
Super-lightweights Ethan James and Connor Parker also clash in a ten-round contest.
