Probellum return to Liverpool on Saturday night, this time to the Eventim Olympia for a card headlined by Tokyo 2020 Olympian Peter McGrail (4-0-0, 3KOs).
The twenty-six-year-old featherweight, who enjoyed a glittering amateur career which also included gold at the Comomonwealth games, faces Alexander Espinoza (21-4-2, 8KOs) this weekend as the Liverpudlian steps up to ten rounds for the first time as a pro. McGrail last featured in April with a fourth-round stoppage victory and steps up again versus the Nicaraguan who has only tasted defeat four times in 27 bouts.
Liverpool’s Jazza Dickens (31-4-0, 12KOs) also returns against Lerato Dlamini (18-1-0, 10KOs) for the lesser recognised IBO featherweight title. Dickens scored a fifth-round stoppage victory six months ago in his first fight back since losing to Kid Galahad for a world title and hopes to continue that momentum with another emphatic victory this weekend against the South African.
Further down the card, brother of Peter, Joe McGrail (5-0-0, 2KOs) takes on Alexander Taylor (20-36-2, 20KOs) across six rounds at featherweight in his sixth professional outing. Lightweight Steven Cairns (3-0-0, 2KOs) returns in a six-round contest versus Angelo Turco (8-26-2, 3KOs), while super-bantamweight Blane Hyland (6-1-0) collides with Mikey Young (2-5-1) over six.
William Cawley (2-0-0) takes on Angel Gabriel Chavez (3-3-1) in a six-round featherweight contest, and lightweight John Edwardson (3-0-0) is slated to fight Simas Volosinas (7-103-0, 1KO). Top prospect Frankie Stringer (2-0-0) is also set to appear at lightweight.
