The Oldham Leisure Centre will host yet another domestic title clash on Saturday night as Callum Simpson (9-0-0, 7KOs) and Ben Ridings (5-2-0) compete for the vacant Central Area title at super-middleweight.
Simpson enters the contest with an unblemished record in nine outings while Ridings holds two defeats to his name, albeit against solid opposition in Jez Smith and Thomas Whittaker-Hart respectively. The Central Area belt hasn’t been competed for since 2020 when Mark Jeffers overcame Ben Thomas but will find a home this weekend in an intriguing domestic division at 168lbs.
Saturday’s undercard features a host of top prospects including Ricky Hatton-trained bantamweight Ibrahim Nadim (8-0-0, 1KO) who takes on Romania’s Alexandru Ionita (7-15-1, 5KOs). Lancashire-born light-heavyweight Billy Deniz (6-0-0, 4KOs) is also set to appear in a six-round clash with Michal Gazdik (6-24-1, 4KOs) of Slovakia, while Reece Farnhill (6-0-0, 3KOs) appears for the seventh time against the always rugged Seamus Devlin (1-39-1) over six rounds. Jabran Bilal (3-1-0) faces-off against Craig Miles (3-1-0) in a six-round middleweight clash, and Adam Sircar (4-0-0) comes together with Joe Garside (5-0-0) at lightweight.
Charles Martin Stuart (4-0-0, 2KOs) appears in a four-round contest against Serge Ambomo (8-34-3, 4KOs), while the undefeated Jake Andrews (2-0-0) takes on Genadij Krajevskij (0-39-0) at 175lbs. The Poland-born but Wakefield-based Sylwia Doligala (0-1-0) appears for her second pro outing in a four-round contest with Jamileth Vallejos (1-7-2, 1KO) down at flyweight, and Tauseef Suleman (1-0-0) looks to maintain his unbeaten record against Jamie Quinn (10-135-2) at lightweight,
