Bethnal Green’s historic York Hall Leisure Centre hosts more domestic title action on Saturday as Jordan Dujon (7-1-0) and Jack Martin (6-0-0, 2KOs) clash for the vacant Southern Area strap at 154lbs.
Barnet’s Dujon only has one blemish to his record in his eight-bout career so far in the form of a narrow eight-round loss against Carl Fail last year and has rebounded with three consecutive victories since. Martin meanwhile is yet to taste defeat as a professional having won all six of his contests in the paid ranks and will look to continue this streak beyond this weekend. Both men are competing for a major title for the first time as they work towards adding their name to a blooming domestic super-welterweight division.
A host of prospects are also set to feature in the capital, including fellow super-welterweights Billy Jackson (4-0-0) who takes on Gideon Onyenani (4-0-0) in an eight-round contest which will see one man’s undefeated record come to an end on Saturday. Welterweight prospect Saqib Khan (3-0-0) appears for the fourth time as a professional versus Berman Sanchez (30-28-3, 22KOs) of Nicaragua, while lightweight Nicola Brake (2-0-0) becomes the latest British prospect to face-off against the tough Vaida Masiokaite (2-17-5) in a six-round clash. Tommy Jacobs (2-1-0) returns for the first time since his first pro defeat last time out, this time taking on Josh Cook (0-19-1) in a six-round middleweight clash.
Former England amateur captain Bilal Fawaz (3-0-0, 3KOs) hopes to upkeep his 100% knockout record on Saturday night after a stellar amateur career which saw him represent the country six times. The card is also set to feature two debutants on the night, including super-flyweight Georgie Ellis who takes on Steven Maguire (3-28-1, 1KO) over four rounds. Light-heavyweight Aliou Diallo will also make his maiden bout as he clashes with renowned journeyman Lewis Van Poetsch (11-149-4, 3KOs) over four.
