British welterweight prospect Cyrus Pattinson (5-0-0, 3KOs) will clash with former British and Commonwealth champion Chris Jenkins (23-6-3, 8KOs) atop of a March 18th Matchroom Boxing NXTGEN card in Newcastle.
The Utilita Arena will witness Pattinson’s first time headlining an event as he takes on Wales’ Jenkins over ten rounds.
Pattinson has landed three stoppages in his first five contests as a professional.
Jenkins meanwhile has lost his last two fights after he was halted by Florian Marku inside four rounds last April before losing over ten to Ireland’s Tyrone McKenna four months later.
Former Team GB amateur star Solomon Dacres (5-0-0, 1KO) contests for his first major belt on the bill against Robert Ismay (11-0-0, 4KOs) for the vacant English heavyweight title.
A host of other prospects will also feature including Leeds super-bantamweight Hopey Price (9-0-0, 3KOs) against France’s Thomas Masson (20-5-1, 7KOs) in a ten-round encounter.
Tokyo 2020 silver medalist and Sunderland man Pat McCormack (3-0-0, 2KOs) appears over eight rounds versus Italy’s Dario Socci (15-7-2, 6KOs) at welterweight.
Newcastle middleweight Mark Dickinson (4-0-0, 1KO) also appears versus Ben Ridings (5-3-0), while Gateshead lightweight Calum French (3-0-0, 1KO) takes on journeyman Jordan Ellison (14-44-3, 1KO).
Flyweight Maisey Rose Courtenay (1-0-0) makes her second appearance as a pro following her debut in October last year.
An opponent for the 22-year-old Courtenay is yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
