British light-heavyweight Joshua Buatsi has signed a promotional deal with BOXXER and will fight on Sky Sports moving forward.
The promotion announced the signing midday on Wednesday.
Buatsi had fought under the Matchroom Boxing banner since turning professional in 2017.
Eddie Hearn however revealed last week that Buatsi had rejected an offer to fight Dmitry Bivol for the WBA light-heavyweight title.
Hearn also told the ‘Eat, Sleep, Boxing, Repeat’ podcast that he believes Buatsi wants to fight European champion Dan Azeez next.
The latter also fights under the BOXXER banner.
Frank Warren told iFL TV that he tried to make a fight between Buatsi and his light-heavyweight charge Anthony Yarde before the former signed with BOXXER.
The Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medalist is undefeated in 16 outings and most recently beat London rival Craig Richards in May 2021.
