London’s Dan Azeez (18-0-0, 12KOs) looks to add Thomas Faure’s (21-4-1, 2KOs) European light-heavyweight title to his British crown on Saturday in the French capital.
BOXXER co-promote the event, topped by an all-France heavyweight showdown between Tony Yoka (11-1-0, 9KOs) and Carlos Takam (39-7-1, 28KOs), live on Sky Sports.
Azeez travels to Paris in the form of his life, having won the British and made two successful defences in his last four fights.
Victory over France’s Faure leaves him in good stead for big opportunities later in the year among a flourishing domestic scene at 175lbs.
Faure meanwhile is undefeated since 2018 and claimed the vacant European belt with a comfortable unanimous decision victory against Kevin Cojean at the end of January.
The fight will be Azeez’s first away from British shores as the 33-year-old looks to climb another rung on the light-heavyweight ladder this weekend.
The Londoner needed two attempts to make weight at Friday’s weigh-in but succeeded at the second time of asking to clear the way for Saturday night’s fight.
Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist Lauren Price (2-0-0, 1KO) makes her third pro appearance as she takes on Naomi Mannes (6-1-0, 4KOs) over eight rounds at welterweight.
Wales’ Price completed her first year as a pro in 2022 and steps up to the eight-round distance for the first time this weekend against the German.
Mannes suffered her only defeat last time against Kirstie Bavington for the European title at 147lbs.
Manchester’s Macauley McGowan (17-3-1, 3KOs) also makes the trip to Paris in the away corner as he prepares to face-off against France’s Farrhad Saad (8-0-1).
