Six months on from their initial encounter, Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr are set to rematch on June 17th at Manchester’s AO Arena.
Smith blasted through Eubank Jr at the same venue back in January to hand the latter his first stoppage defeat as a professional.
Eubank activated a rematch clause in February but rumours later circulated suggesting he would meet Conor Benn in the summer.
Smith was also put forward as mandatory challenger for WBO middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly but must now face the Brighton man for a second time at the middleweight limit.
The pair will come face-to-face for the first time at an announcement press conference in London today.
