Linus Udofia has announced that Kieron Conway has pulled out of their 12-round middleweight clash in Manchester on May 27th.

The Luton man made the claim via Twitter on Saturday afternoon but insists the fight will be rearranged for later in the year.

His tweet read: “I regret to inform you that my fight with Kieron has been postponed due to injury.

“I wish Kieron a speedy recovery. A new date will be confirmed later this year!

“Thank you for all the continued support! For any refunds please contact Matchroom Boxing.”

The pair were set to face-off on the undercard of Leigh Wood‘s rematch against WBA featherweight champion Mauricio Lara.

Udofia rebounded from his narrow British title defeat to Denzel Bentley last year with a six-round points win in March.

Northampton’s Conway last appeared with an eight-round points victory in Nottingham three months ago.
