Liverpool’s Callum Smith will travel to Quebec City, Canada on August 20th as he takes on unified light-heavyweight king Artur Beterbiev.
Top Rank promote the show after outbidding Matchroom Boxing by just $15,000 in a purse bid at the start of the month.
Smith, who previously reigned as WBA and Ring Magazine super-middleweight champion, enters the bout as mandatory challenger for Beterbiev’s WBC title after winning his two contests since moving to 175lbs.
The latest came in August with a fourth-round stoppage over France’s Mathieu Bauderlique in Saudi Arabia.

Smith has only suffered one defeat in his 30 pro contests so far but faces a mountainous task taking on Beterbiev in the city he bases himself out of.
In just 19 contests, the Russian-born light-heavyweight has claimed three of the four major titles at light-heavyweight while winning all of his fights by knockout.
His last performance came in London when he halted a brave Anthony Yarde in the eighth after a positive showing from the Briton.
Some have speculated that Beterbiev is beginning to show signs of his age but he nevertheless remains one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport today and is buoyed by a wealth of experience in the amateur code.
Sky Sports will televise the show in the UK due to their ongoing broadcasting deal with Top Rank, despite Smith being a Matchroom and DAZN fighter.
