Wasserman Boxing have confirmed that Samuel Antwi and Mason Cartwright will collide for the vacant British super-welterweight title in Bolton on September 1st.
The fight has been added to the undercard of light-heavyweight Lyndon Arthur‘s clash with Braian Suarez at the University of Bolton, live on Channel Five.
Antwi looks to become British champion at the second time of asking having lost over twelve rounds to welterweight champion Ekow Essuman in September last year.
After securing the English belt at 147lbs two fights prior, Antwi moves back up to 154 having previously competed at the weight earlier in his career.
The 31 year old secured a third-round stoppage in Newcastle at the weekend in his final fight before facing Cartwright in the six weeks time.
The latter meanwhile lost a contentious decision to former British super-welterweight champion Troy Williams in March 2022, flooring the Durham man in the second round.
Two wins followed later that year as Chester’s Cartwright looks to land the first major title of his career.
