British and Commonwealth lightweight champion Gavin Gwynne has signed a promotional contract with Frank Warren‘s Queensberry Promotions.
The deal was announced via Queensberry’s social media earlier today.
Gwynn added the British crown to his Commonwealth title with a unanimous decision victory over Luke Willis in April 2022.
A split-decision draw against fellow Welshman Craig Woodruff followed five months later before a resounding fifth-round stoppage saw Gwynne (16-2-1, 4KOs) successfully defend his titles in a rematch earlier this year.
The 33-year-old’s first fight under the Queensberry banner will be against European champion Emiliano Marsili on a date yet to be announced.
The Italian claimed the vacant title with a split-decision victory over Frank Urquiaga last year.
Marsili (40-0-1, 16KOs) is yet to fight outside of his native Italy as a professional.
