The rematch between Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Ovill McKenzie and former world titlist Enzo Maccarinelli has been called off after McKenzie was injured in training. The fight was due on April 20 at the Wembley Arena, but will now be rearranged.
“Unfortunately, yesterday in sparring I injured my knee, as a result of this doctors say I need a week off from running and hard pressure on my feet, therefore the fight is cancelled,” confirmed McKenzie.
“Hopefully me and Enzo will get a later date in the near future. Sorry for the disappointment fans, hopefully it’s gonna happen soon so I can put Enzo out of his misery once and for all and move on to bigger things.” added the champion.
