Amir Khan and Paul McCloskey exchanged words and the trainers and promoters are at loggerheads after the WBA world title fight last Saturday night in Khans 4th defence, ended in controversial fashion after the referee stopped the fight when McCloskey was cut in the 6th round.

The cut was not a fight ending one and although team Khans argument is that McCloskey had lost every round prior to the injury and that it wasn’t there decision to end the fight but the doctors, team McCloskey believes the injustice should warrant them a rematch.
Khan is ready to face Timothy Bradley in a summer unification showdown and will not want to put that on hold to face the Irish European champion again.
Somewhere down the line McCloskey deserves a return but looks like he will have to wait. continue…
