Commonwealth Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders says he will retire if Bradley Pryce beats him tomorrow night at the York Hall.

The unbeaten Hatfield traveler defends his title for the first time against the dangerous Welshman who has promised to pull off a massive shock at the home of London boxing.

However, the 22-year-old ace, who won the title in a lightning 30 seconds last month against Tony Hill at the Royal Albert Hall, is confident he will knockout Pryce.

The fight will be live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456/Virgin Ch. 546).

“If I can’t beat the likes of Bradley Pryce where am I going in this sport? I would retire if he beat me,” said Saunders.

“He’s had his time as Commonwealth champion, this is my time now and I’m on the way up in this sport,”
“In the next 12-18 months I aim to become the number one in Britain and Europe beating the best here before going on to the world title and Pryce is a stepping stone towards that,”
“Pryce said that he is the best that I have faced so far, but I’ve faced the best amateurs in the world before I turned professional and that counts for a lot,”
“There’s no way that Pryce is going to beat to beat me though, I will never lose to him.”
“I fight best when I’ve got some venom and my opponent has riled me which Pryce has done so he’s getting knocked out.”
Saunders v Pryce headlines the card that features unbeaten Enfield super-middleweight sensation Frank Buglioni who takes on Scunthorpes’s Jody Meikle over six rounds, plus Liverpool super-featherweight Stephen Smith in an eight rounder against Jose Luis Graterol from Venezuela.
Wembley light-welterweight Gary Corcoran, Bower’s Gifford middleweight John Dignum, Erith featherweight Lewis Pettitt, plus the professional debuts of 2011 ABA Champion Mitchell Smith from Harrow Weld and Chingford’s Tom Baker.
The show will be televised live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 456/Virgin Ch. 546).  Join at www.boxnation.com
