WBO European Welterweight Champion Bradley Skeete weighed 146.9lbs and his challenger Stevie Williams was 147lbs at today’s official weigh-in ahead of their fight tomorrow night (Monday 23rd Nov) at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, in support of the national music charity Nordoff Robbins.
‘Super’ Skeete, from Penge, South London, makes the third defence of the belt as he aims to to make Merseyside’s Williams his fourth stoppage in a row in his pursuit of a second shot at the British title.
He said, “Roll on tomorrow night and I can’t wait now. Williams is going to bring it in the ring, I can sense at the weigh-in today that he’s really up for it and wants to take my title from me.

I ain’t going to let that just happen. I’m back on track towards a second crack at the British title and Williams isn’t going get in my way. I’ll be looking to end this one in conclusive style.”
While the ‘Wallasey Express’ says he’ll steam through Skeete in the capital as he has big fight ambitions of his own and needs his rival’s title. “This is my big chance to get back into the title picture and into the buzzing domestic scene.
“Skeete’s good, but he’s beatable and I’m looking to bring the title back to Liverpool with me tomorrow night. You’ll see the best of me, plenty of aggression, plenty of high work-rate and set a pace that Skeete can’t match.” Said Williams.
The card will also feature three undefeated talents under the Queensberry Promotions banner who all feature in six-round contests: Corby Cruiserweight Simon Barclay takes on Tamas Polster, Manchester Super-Welterweight Macaulay McGowan faces Sullivan Mason and Swansea Super-Flyweight Jay Harris faces David Koos.
