Michael Gomez Jr got another win under his belt against old foe Qasim Hussain boxing well behind his jab to impress referee Mark Lyson enough to score it 40-37 over four dominant rounds. Gomez, 19, is now unbeaten in 5 fights.

Half way through the contest Gomez hurt his right hand and had to box the last round just using his left. Gomez is fast improving and showing a real maturity in the ring, sticking to a game plan and not getting involved in scraps. It was a good four round win and he can now push on and get his career moving forward.
