Middleweight world Champion Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) and challenger Kell Brook (36-0, 25 early) both made weight ahead of tomorrow night’s showdown at London’s O2 Arena.
Golovkin came in at 158.9lbs while Brook hit the scales at 159.4lbs. Both men looked ready despite recent rumours that “GGG” was feeling ill in the build-up the fight following his decision to cancel some press commitments. The defending titlist was just shy of his usual 159lb mark, whereas Brook came in around 13lbs over his usual weight for his middleweight debut.
The event attracted a sizeable crowd, British fans have been keen to catch a glimpse of the visitor and excitement is building ahead of his UK debut.
Sky Sports Box Office are televising the Eddie Hearn-promoted contest.
