Artif “The Sniper” Ali (11-1) responds to a strongly worded interview by Michael Gomez Jr (7-0, 2KO). Former stable mates, the relationship changed when Gomez Jr left Sean Krool’s Fight Factory in favour of joining the team guided by local legend Arnie Farnell in North Manchester.
Ali, 29, uncharacteristically called out his former training partner at a press conference for a recent PBE show at the Bowlers. This was met by a frosty response by Gomez Jr, playing down the fight and mocking Ali, stating that he would need sparring partners such as “Mo Farah” and “Forrest Gump” in order to prepare for Ali’s hit and move style of boxing.
British Boxers caught up with Artif Ali who was in a fiery mood, to discuss the Gomez response to his call out and talk about the potential match up. Interview by Aky Karim.
