Former British and European Champion joins us to share his knowledge
Former British and European Champion Pat “Black Flash” Barrett was known for his toughness and formidable punching power as well as his guile and ring IQ. We caught up with him at Collyhurst and Moston Boxing Gym where he now applies his knowledge as a head trainer to some of Manchester’s up and coming stars.
In his British Light-welter weight title fight against Tony Willis in 1989, Barrett unleashed a phenomenal left hook to end the bout. He took us through how he landed and set up the shot, how to generate power, the correct technique and thinking your way into position. Enjoy.
