On Saturday night, eight domestic lightweights will go head-to-head in the latest instalment of the BOXXER Series tournaments which will end with one man having his hand raised at the Skydome Arena in Coventry. Coverage is set to begin on Sky Sports at 8pm UK time.
The draw for the four quarter-finals was made on Thursday afternoon, the four winners then heading into two semi-finals before the two men left standing face-off in a final later on the night to crown a victor. A lot will be on the line for the eight contenders, with the chance to fight regularly on the huge Sky Sports platform on the line for the man who goes all the way.
- Rylan Charlton vs Joe Underwood Hughes
- Otis Lookham vs Dylan Cheema
- Tion Gibbs vs Scott Melvin
- Shaun Cooper vs Brooklyn Tilley
The tournament set-up has long proved an exciting watch for fight fans, dating back to the old Prizefighter tournaments seen in years gone by. Each fight will last for three, three-minute rounds, with the normal ten-point-must scoring system in place providing the bout goes the full distance.
