Speaking to iFL TV on Thursday, BOXXER’s Ben Shalom spoke about a heavyweight clash between Hughie Fury and Michael Hunter is being planned to take place on July 2nd in Manchester. Tokyo 2020 light-heavyweight silver medalist Ben Whittaker could potentially make his professional debut on the card.
Both Fury and Hunter look to secure a shot at world honours in the premier division in the sport, with the former having already fought the likes of Joseph Parker, Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Povetkin, picking up priceless ring experience along the way. Hunter has also shared a ring with the Russian Povetkin, drawing out in Saudi Arabia in December, 2019.
