Wasserman Boxing announced on Friday that British heavyweight Nathan Gorman is to face off against Tomas Salek of the Czech Republic at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on June 17th as he returns to the ring for the first time in 2022.
Liverpool’s Marcel Braithwaite is also set to feature on the card in what should be an entertaining contest at super-flyweight against Thomas Essomba across ten rounds. Flyweight prospect Chloe Watson is also set to appear as a professional for the third time, with the opponent and distance of the bout yet to be confirmed at the time of writing. The same can be said of Mason Cartwright, who is set to appear for the first time since his fight of the year contender versus Troy Williamson, the former edged out on the scorecards after a pulsating twelve rounds in Newcastle. Super-welterweight Paddy Lacey is also scheduled to appear in his home city, with the opponent still to be confirmed, as well as heavyweight Matty Harris.
