Bethnal Green’s iconic York Hall Leisure Centre is well-renowned for being the heartbeat of British boxing and is set to host one of the most stacked small hall cards of 2022 on Friday night with three domestic title fights set to take place.

The main event in the capital will see Portsmouth’s Lucas Ballingall (15-2-0, 4KOs) clash with Ilford’s Boy Jones Jr (20-4-1, 8KOs) for the vacant English super-lightweight title. The former looks to land the first major title of his career so far, although did compete for the English at the weight division below, while Jones Jr previously regained as Southern Area champion at 130lbs albeit six years ago.

London-born Connor Marsden (6-2-0, 2KOs) also looks to defend his Southern Area lightweight title in a ten-round contest against Kent’s Martin McDonagh (10-2-0). The twenty-seven-year-old Marsden comfortably outpointed Mickey Rourke in his first defence of the strap he picked up in 2021, while McDonagh hopes to land the first major title of his career so far.

A third title offering comes in the form of the vacant Southern Area title down at bantamweight to be contested by Essex’s undefeated Jordan Purkiss (4-0-0, 1KO) and Ryan Walker (12-3-0, 3KOs) of Newham.

A host of domestic prospects are also set to feature on Friday night, including super-middleweight Joe Giles (3-0-0), heavyweight Lucian Atana (5-0-0, 5KOs) and welterweight Dean Gardner (1-0-0).

Lee Eaton promotes the card, while fans can watch the fights live on both Intu Boxing and talkSPORT’s Youtube channels.
