Eddie Hearn has announced that Dalton Smith has penned a multi-fight promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing.
Smith turned professional with Matchroom back in 2019 following a glittering amateur career.
The British super-lightweight champion was a promotional free agent following his successful defence versus Kaisee Benjamin in November.
BOXXER promoted the event following a successful purse bid and were hoping to tie the Sheffield man down to fight on their platform in the coming years.
Hearn and Matchroom were able to retain the 25-year-old however who now looks ahead to a big 2023.
“I believe this young man is one of the best young talents in World boxing and we look forward to delivering some huge nights in Sheffield!”, said Hearn.
