Ekow Essuman will defend his British and Commonwealth welterweight titles versus Chris Kongo on January 21st in Manchester.

The fight will take place on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jnr versus Liam Smith at the AO Arena.

Essuman marked the third defence of his titles with a unanimous decision victory over former English champion Samuel Antwi in September.

Kongo picked up the standout victory of his career so far with a comfortable ten-round victory over Sebastian Formella in June last year.

The 30-year-old Kongo will be challenging for major titles for the first time since turning professional in 2016.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke has also been added to the event in Manchester.

Clarke fought four times in 2022 in his first year as a professional.

An opponent is yet to be confirmed for the 31-year-old.

The fight announcements make for a stacked bill for the card which will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe will take on former world title challenger Krzysztof Glowacki in the chief support as a world title shot beckons for the Londoner.

New Zealand’s former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker faces Bolton’s Jack Massey in a heavyweight encounter.

Massey has previously campaigned at cruiserweight.
