Queensberry Promotions have officially announced that British heavyweight Joe Joyce will take on China’s Zhilei Zhang at the Copperbox Arena on April 15th.
The contest will be shown live on BT Sport.
Joyce picked up the standout win of his career so far with an eleventh-round stoppage of former world champion Joseph Parker in September.
The 37-year-old is in line for a shot at the winner of the planned undisputed showdown between champions Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk later in the year.
Zhang meanwhile lost a contentious decision to Croatian Filip Hrgovic in August last year.
The defeat is the only loss on the two-time Olympian’s record.
Battersea’s British middleweight champion Denzel Bentley will clash with Livingston’s Kieran Smith on the undercard.
